Heritage Coordinator

About the Role:

WorkPac is actively recruiting for a Heritage Coordinator to join our esteemed client, Rio Tinto, in Perth. This position operates on a Monday to Friday roster, with occasional travel to site as needed.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Manage the heritage accommodation and travel demand across FIFO camps and prioritise heritage needs.

  • Conduct site access and accommodation assessments as part of the quarterly planning process.

  • Manage logistics to ensure appropriate rooms are readily available as per the RTIO village plan.

  • Liaise with external consultants to ensure they meet RTIO certified qualifications and coordinate recertificate requirements.

  • Manage helicopter bookings and risk assessments.

  • Coordinate all logistics involving fieldwork.

  • Source any heritage in-field consumables and other equipment as required.

  • Meticulously ensure smooth transition of all surveys â Archaeology, Ethnographic and Social Surrounds.

  • Be prepared for weather, safety concerns, wellbeing and other factors that can and will impact the survey from running smoothly and always be ready to act.

  • Ability to be versatile, resilient, and responsive to change, always.

  • Be proficient in situations when crisis strikes. Keep objectives achievable and within reach, and often "go the extra mile " to support surveys or colleagues who are in need of advice or help.

  • Having key attributes that donât shift and keep grounded during periods of high volume of changes in surveys or personnel/Traditional Owners.

  • Responding to the different needs of team members and Traditional Owners for urgent issues.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • EA, Secretarial background with intention of exploring pathways into high level logistics.

  • Experience in logistics of some capability or standard.

  • Experience in project management at an introductory level.

  • Customer, supply chain and process improvement history.

  • Understanding of the social and environmental impact of planning decisions on communities.

  • Continuous learning and open mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite â Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint etc.

  • Interpersonal, consultative, organisation and facilitation skills.

  • Analytical and critical thinking and problem solving.

  • C Class Drivers Licence.
