DETAILS: At WorkPac Health and Social Care, the health and wellbeing of our people is our top priority. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is evolving we thought it was important to inform our clients about our communications and activities.

WHAT: COVID-19 ALERT – New international travel restrictions and bans on
large social gatherings. 
DETAILS: As of 8am this morning (Wednesday 18.03.20), the Federal Government has announced new international travel restrictions and bans on large social gatherings. 

Please Note – Essential activities such as workplaces including mine sites, mining camps, construction sites, office buildings and factories are not included in
this ban (however social distancing and good hygiene practices should still apply in these settings). The actions by relevant Authorities is constantly adjusting to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

We encourage you to stay up to date with the latest information from official Government sources.

DETAILS :At WorkPac the health and wellbeing of our people is our top priority. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is evolving we would like to remind our employees that there is no cause for panic.

We are conducting a compulsory 3-minute survey across all our employees about Coronavirus (COVID-19), your wellbeing, and your recent and future travel plans.

WHAT: Updated Travel Restrictions as at 15 March 2020 
DETAILS: Overnight, the Federal Government has announced new travel restrictions. Effective midnight Sunday 15 March (AEDT), every person arriving in Australia from anywhere overseas is required to self-isolate for 14 days.

Note – this requirement is in addition to and supersedes the previous advice on isolation requirements for those travellers who have returned from high risk
countries (China, Iran, Italy or South Korea) in the past 2 wks.

self-quarantine for 14 days 

DETAILS: RE: Important COVID-19 NoticeIf you have been overseas in the last 14 days and are feeling unwell, please see a doctor immediately. 

If you have been in, or transited through, high risk countries (details attached) you need to self-quarantine for 14 days from the date you departed the
country. If you fit the criteria shared in our following document you are required to self-quarantine. YOU MUST NOT ATTEND WORK.

WHO: All WorkPac Employees
WHAT: An update on novel coronavirus. Public health details. 
DETAILS: The World Health Organisation has declared the outbreak of 2019-nCoV a public health emergency of international concern.  

Australia now has 14 confirmed cases of 2019-nCoV, with another 165 suspected cases being tested.  

Currently, in Australia, people most at risk of contracting the virus are people who have:

• recently been to mainland China
• been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus 

If you have travelled or transited through mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) since 1 February 2020, you must isolate yourself until 14 days
after leaving China. Self-isolation means staying at home and not accepting visitors.  

If you have travelled to China in the last 14 days and are feeling unwell, you must immediately see a Doctor to report your symptoms.
