About The Client

Our client is the worlds leading supplier of ground support products, systems and solutions for the underground mining and tunnelling industry. They are currently seeking production workers to join their manufacturing team in Narangba.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Production Operator you will be working in the galvanizing department where you will be required to work Monday to Friday from 5am 1pm. This section of the plant is referred to as the Spin Shop where the work is fast paced, and you will be working around chemicals and hot conditions.  As an Operator/Packer you will be responsible for the below duties;

• Working around conveyors and loading and unloading materials out of the dipping area
• Working around chemicals
• Manual handling of galvanized steel products
• Packing finished goods in a timely manner
• Weighing and labelling items appropriately
• Quality checks and following safety management procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

What You Will Need

• Experience working in a similar manufacturing environment
• Forklift licence (Desired but not essential)
• Physically fit
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a small team
• Ability to read and understand technical plans and specifications
• Ability to work in an industrial environment
• Good communication skills

Requirements

• Able to pass a pre-employment medical + drug and Alcohol
• Attend a walkthrough/interview
• Previous experience within the industrial manufacturing space
• Drivers Licence and vehicle
