We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis. This position is based in St Leonards, Sydney, with the opportunity to work in the office 2 days and remotely for three days a week.
Responsibilities:
Process invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely payment to vendors
Code invoices correctly, including assigning appropriate cost center numbers
Handle approximately 20% of invoices that require matching of purchase orders (POs)
Manually code the remaining invoices that do not require matching
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any invoice discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing activities, aiming to complete the process within a week
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator, with a strong focus on invoice processing
Familiarity with coding invoices and adding correct cost center numbers
Ability to handle both PO-matching and manual coding processes
Proficient in using relevant accounting software and tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in processing month-end activities in a timely manner is highly preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Duration and Potential for Permanent Role:
This position is expected to last up to two months initially. However, there is potential for the role to become permanent based on the candidate's performance and the needs of the organization.
Work Arrangement:
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely for three days a week and spend two days working from our St Leonards office. This hybrid work arrangement allows for a balance between remote work and in-person collaboration.
