About the Role
WorkPac is seeking a Administrator for our Client based in Weipa. In this role you will be responsible for cost control functions, data analysis and financial administration duties for a team working across multiple cost centres and areas of responsibility including remote camp accommodation, facilities maintenance, aviation, electricity retail and employee housing.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage monthly cost activities and reporting on multiple cost centres for 2 departments, including accruals, actual spend, forecasting, variance analysis, budget management.

Producing detailed cost plans, cost models and estimates to be used as a basis for commercial reporting and decision-making

Administer the companys electricity retail service, working closely with the electricity retail services contractor to ensure accurate and timely billing for residential and business customers and accurate financial reporting for the business, with a focus on debt control & pro-active management of debt

Raise procurement purchase requisitions and follow the process through to have purchase orders issued to vendors and processing in SAP after completion of work

Audit contractor invoices for errors and incorrect charges, action with contractor or escalate internally as appropriate

Provide support for the department???s business improvement initiatives. Help provide valuations and calculating cost saving benefits.

Be actively involved in the budgeting process

Provide data management and analysis solutions and help increase the efficiency of the current data management ??? done via excel. Must be able to work with large sets of data.

Skills & Qualifications:

Intermediate/Strong excel skills proficient in MS Office

Key formulas Vlookup, conditional formulas (if statements, sumifs etc.)

Desirable: VBA/Macro experience

A background in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or data analytics GL codes, journalings, cost centres with an understanding of fundamental finance concepts sunk costs, NPV, etc.

Strong analytical skills and mathematical knowledge

A team player and strong communicator able to convey complex finance/accounting principles in simple terms

A problem solver with great time management skills and excellent attention to detail
