About the Position:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Learning and Development Officer for a Federal Government Department based within the ACT.? This position will hold an initial 2 month contract with view for extension and competitive hourly rates available for the successful applicant.

Responsibilities will Include:

Administer logistics in support of program delivery, including:

  • Work independently with regard to liaising with supplier, setting dates, booking rooms, setting up sessions in DVAtrain, managing enrolments, liaising with interstate colleagues and CSC, signing off attendees and collating evaluations.

  • Work under direction with regard to preparing statement of requirements/RFQ, selecting a supplier, drafting OFS/contract, tailoring content to suit DVA context, writing promotional articles, emailing DCA/AS to promote events, rescheduling events

  • Manage development of DVA Induction

  • Manage the DVA Capability inbox and respond to general DVA Capability queries

  • Administer the Study Assistance Scheme

  • Manage DVA Capability's intranet presence

  • Contribute new ideas and identifies opportunities to improve processes

  • Participate in team activities such as planning, setting priorities, knowledge sharing and team building

  • Assist in projects or working groups

  • Liaise with stakeholders, including colleagues, and keeps up to date with Learning & Development and other HR trends.

  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience within a similar position, Relevant experience in the Australian Public Service or the Australian Defence Force will be highly regarded

  • A high standard of written and oral communication is essential for this role.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management? experience is essential

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment etc

  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
