About the Client
Our client is a company that delivers innovative and sustainable global shipping and logistics solutions for manufacturers of cars, trucks, heavy equipment, and specialised cargo and are looing for a mechanical assembler to join the team.
What you will be doing
You will be mechanically minded and have a strong eye for detail and will assist in adding value to truck and equipment builds by ensuring that Australian Design Rules and Customer Specifications are completed. To be successful in this role, it is expected that you have a trusted mechanical aptitude and an understanding of hand and power tools. Working Monday to Friday with a 7am start you will be completing the below duties
Assembling fuel tank package systems on customer prime mover trucks as per SOP
Installation of front bull bars and bumpers
Electrical installations such as Light bars, Voltage reducers and wiring modifications
Ensuring customer product is in line with Australian rules and regulations
Drive vehicles/machinery for the purpose of location movement within the VPC.
Prepares vehicle/machines for dispatch including place in or out of stock, pressure washing and detailing, shrink-wrapping kits, picking and packing of attachments and stock takes.
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product
Maintain a clean, tidy working area
What you will need
Safety focused individual with the ability and desire to promote, influence and drive a positive safety culture
Previous experience working in an assembly role
Able to learn and take direction
A trade background (desired but not essential)
