What You Will Be Doing

Working on the construction of the Kwinana Lithium Plant.

Working Monday to Thursday 6:15am -5pm, Fridays 6:15am -3pm

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.

• Apply temporary bracing, where required, to ensure post welded component is with in tolerance and dimensions as indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Straighten steel components where applicable post welding to comply with dimensions as indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantry cranes, mobile lifting equipment etc???

• Sling and move steel components with gantry cranes, mobile lifting equipment etc.

• Maintain correct and accurate MARK numbers on steel components

• Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task

• Utilise all hand tools and forming machines to perform required functions

• Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG

What You Will Need

• Boilermaker Trade Cert

• White Card

• Drivers licence

• Working at heights

• EWP

• Confined Space & Gas Atmosphere (preferred)

• Ability to pass full PEM and DAS
