Business Improvement Specialist
Job descriptionAbout the Role WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Business Improvement Specialist for Rio Tinto's Business Services Department, based at Brockman 4 site. FIFO from Perth. 5:2, 4:3 roster on an ongoing contract. Reporting to the Business Services Superintendent, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with Business Stakeholders to support continuous improvement within the operation. Duties include: Using problem solving techniques, such as Lean Six Sigma, to design and develop solutions for business improvements and capture process design changes. Work closely with operational stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of current operational issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Contribute to and help drive the effective delivery of changes through acting as a key member of project delivery teams. Assist in the development Operational Business Plan & Improvement Project Pipeline Improvement Project Management & Delivery Data Analytics & Root Cause Analysis Generation of Business Cases, Project Charters & Plans for Project & Solution Deployment. Strong stakeholder engagement to ensure a sound understanding of existing processes, end-user requirements and effective change management. Assist in the identification of opportunities to reduce expenditure, increase production, improve safety and culture Facilitate workshops to help ensure the consideration of differing opinions and options. Effectively present findings and updates to Management in a clear and concise manner Skills and Experience Strong understanding of business improvement principles and practices Demonstrated experience with using Lean Six Sigma and problem-solving techniques. Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in analysing and documenting complex business processes. A range of experience in business analysis and process design, and experience using Visio and Business Process Management tools Extensive experience leading process initiatives and improvement programs.
