Business Improvement Specialist

  • FIFO or Residential to Karratha, Based at Cape Lambert

About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking 2 experienced Business Improvement Advisors for an ongoing contract based at Cape Lambert. This role will work a 5:2 or 4:3 roster, residential or FIFO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Where required, contribute to the development of Annual and Business Plans, and develop an understanding of Cape Lambert???s Divisional Risks and short-term Strategy

  • Deliver value through identifying opportunities aligned with risk and strategy, and execution of improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

  • Demonstrate excellence in teamwork, partnership, communication, and stakeholder management

  • Develop and leverage strong working relationships with key stakeholders to embed a continuous improvement culture

  • Facilitating the execution of our transformation programmed focused on safety, cost and productivity through the use of LEAN tools (including kaizen, practical problem solving, quick change over, 5S)

  • Working as a trusted advisor to influence and coach project teams to deliver sustainable results quickly and maximize value

  • Undertaking KPI analysis, improvements and project work designed to add business value

    Managing the framework for our Management of Change and Productivity systems

About You:

  • Operational experience in similar role within the mining or manufacturing industry

  • A commitment to safety for yourself and the team

  • Proven ability to communicate new ideas, influence stakeholders and manage conflict

  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in process improvement, project leadership, change management, stakeholder engagement or similar;

  • Highly effective leadership, organizational, time management and analytical skills;

  • Experiences in teaching, training or coaching

  • A high level of computer literacy with MS Office and Apps skills

  • A business-related degree or technical degree

  • Current C Class driver???s license (manual)

  • Knowledge of Rio Tinto systems and processes (Beneficial)

  • Lean Six Sigma qualifications (Beneficial)

  • Project engineering or planning experience (Beneficial)

  • Business analyst or commercial experience (Beneficial)

  • Full working rights in Australia
