About The Role
WorkPac are seeking a Construction Supervisor to join Rio Tinto Dampier Salt Ltd (DSL) to be involved in project supervision, contractor management, risk assessments and providing safety leadership. The role is FIFO 8/6, covering Lake MacLeod, Dampier and Port Hedland sites.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide site contractor management, construction expertise and implementation skills to deliver projects safely in a sustainable, timely, suitable and cost-effective way.
Ensure all site construction activities comply with and are delivered to Rio Tinto standards and policies for HSE.
Coach on safe behaviours through daily field leadership.
Establish effective relationship with contractor supervisors and teams, built around trust and empathy.
Coach and mentor contracting partners in all aspects of HSE.
Review risk assessments and carry out safety interactions.
Lead incident investigation ensure actions are completed and closed out.
Review and issue all required permits dependant on site requirements.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications in engineering, construction or high risk work.
Previous Rio Tinto project construction experience.
Current WA C Class Driver's license.
Strong decision-making capability along with ability to work autonomously.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to lead, influence and motivate.
