About the Role:

WorkPac is currently seeking an Experienced Contracts Administrator in Rockhampton for a large construction project involving individual residents and a large communal area building. This is a permanent full-time role, and the salary is negotiable for the successful applicant depending on experience.

Applicants must be local or be willing to relocate to Rockhampton, this position is for an immediate start.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and administrate the entire process surrounding construction projects. This includes but is not limited to managing bids, negotiating rates, drafting, measuring and administering contracts and maintaining records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation and preparation of head contracts and subcontracts.

  • Budget analysis, detailing of construction scope of works and measuring of data.

  • Have a good understanding of all construction plans, specifications, schedules, programs, and project briefs.

  • Maintain a strong safety focus and understanding of current WHSE legislative requirements relevant to construction projects.

  • Translate head contract requirements into contract Documentation and contracts.

  • Partner negotiation process.

  • Ensure efficient time management is maintained.

  • Document Control, including setup of project folders and distribution procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Construction commercial project experience is essential

  • Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedule

  • Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts

  • An understanding of construction processes

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships will all stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail and proven communication skills?

  • Diploma of Building and Construction/ Business Administration will be highly regarded
