Customer Service Officer

Perth based opportunity Long term work opportunity Ongoing opportunity About the client: Our client is a multinational company that manufactures building materials. They are based across 70 countries and employ about 72 000 employees. About the role: The Customer Service Officer role needs to always strive to provide our customers with the best possible experience with our client. The focus should be to supply the correct products ordered to the agreed schedule. The Customer service office should proactively support customer???s enquiries, needs and requirements whilst delivering on key business goals around on time deliver, on time loading and transport utilization. What you will be doing: Maintain a safe system of work in the workplace. Comply with all relevant safety, health and environment legislation Actively participate in safety discussions Adhere to all company policies, procedures and work instructions Maintain professional communication with both external and internal parties Ensure that customers have a positive experience while placing an order with the CSO Escalate any customer issues that you are unable to resolve to the appropriate department/manager Processing customer feedback through the internal database of QSI or CRM daily. Customers will be proactively notified as soon as possible if there is a delay Customers questions and issues need to be promptly and courteously handled Manage truck utilization in conjunction with plants and managers to effectively reduce costs whilst maintaining optimum service levels to customers Sound knowledge of Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility legislation Maintain regular and effective communication with both Sales and Production staff Maintain regular contact with Internal Concrete as directed daily /weekly Ensure full knowledge and compliance with the Allocation Procedure Manual Consistently improve on processes Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with the employee's training and skills and such varied duties are to be performed to standards that will be specified as required. What you will need: ??? Experience in the logistics / transport industry is preferred. ??? Experience in customer service ??? Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite ??? Basic SAP knowledge ???Preferred but not essential. ??? Capable of performing minimum data entry requirements ??? Reads and understands communications and interprets for relevance in local environment ??? Fully engages OH&S within activity and seeks support to achieve best possible outcomes ??? Continuously refreshes knowledge of actual practices and ensures consistency with required safe operation ??? Ensures protocols are followed effectively whenever required ??? Strong organisational and prioritisation skills ??? Ability to work in a busy office environment ??? Strong customer focus ??? Sound knowledge of the Perth Area ??? Flexible workload schedules. ??? Commitment to teamwork and safety ???
