ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client produces and exports the highest quality hard coking coal, which is used in steel production for critical building and infrastructure around the world. WorkPac and Anglo American established a strong and long-term partnership at Dawson Mine.

Alongside Anglo American, WorkPac are Recruiting for several roles at Dawson Mine. From Trades to Plant Operation. Dawson Mine is an open cut? metallurgical coal mine operation made? up of three operating pits ??? North, Central and South.? The mine life of Dawson is anticipated to be operational for at least the next 14 years.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will be working as a Diesel Fitter within a Workshop environment carrying out maintenance, rebuilds and diagnostics across a range of heavy machinery such as Rear Dump Trucks, Water Trucks and Graders. The role will allow you to work a 7/7 alternating DS/NS Roster. Roles are available for residential and DIDO roles.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Previous mine site experience working in a HME workshop is essential as a Diesel Fitter

• Experience working on Rear Dump Trucks, Water Trucks, Graders, Loaders and Auxillary Equipment.? ?

• You will need to have obtained a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or be willing to attain this.

• Trade Qualification, Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia

• Desirable Qualifications: Working at Heights, Confined Space, Overhead Gantry Crane, EWP, Forklift, Test Operational Functions, Dogging/Lifting, Conduct Lifting Operations
