About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a dynamic Electrical Project Engineer to join our clients Sustaining Capital CLAHDO Project Team. This role is central to the successful delivery of the CLA High Density Ore Project. You will work from our client's Perth Head office with occasional site visits until 2024. After that, you'll shift to a site-based role following either a 5/2, 4/3, or 8/6 roster. You'll be part of a high-performing team helping our contractor partners plan and complete construction projects. Your leadership and commissioning skills are key to making sure projects are safe, on time, and efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage in design evaluations, HAZOPs, witness testing, FATs, and SATs for Electrical & Controls Systems projects.
Exhibit a dedicated commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) throughout project activities.
Ensure adherence to technical standards, project timelines, quality benchmarks, and HSE management systems.
Embrace RTIO Values: Care, Courage, Curiosity, fostering a proactive and safe working environment.
Collaborate with the commissioning team, CLA Operations, and Operational Readiness teams during plant and equipment startup.
Promptly assess and formulate responses to Consultant and Contractor Technical Queries (TQs) / Requests for Information (RFIs)
Skills & Experience Required:
C Class Licence (unrestricted)
Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls System Engineering
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
Proficiency in GE and Schneider PLCs, basic WonderWare understanding
ABB/Siemens VVVF configuration expertise
Familiarity with ABB Robotics and Sampling systems
Knowledge of PrepMaster and associated networks
Strong understanding of network and field device functionality
Proven ability to review Electrical schematic drawings
Proactive in fostering a safe and inclusive team culture
Experience in mining, resource sector, or related industry
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
Self-starting, highly motivated, goal-oriented approach
