About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor working FIFO from Perth on a family friendly 9:5 day shift roster on a world class, large-scale magnetite iron ore project, located at Sino Iron Mine Site in Cape Preston, Western Australia. It is essential that applicants possess experience in Electrical Maintenance and Construction in the Mining and Heavy industry sectors and should be.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with key stakeholders to plan, organise and coordinate all required electrical maintenance work to minimise down time on client's processing production lines
Leading the electrical team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient maintenance, modification, and installation of required electrical systems and associated equipment on site
Provide leadership and work with the crew to develop customer service-oriented maintenance culture
Establish cost and time effective preventative maintenance plans and coordinate shutdown requirements when and as required
Driving safety behaviour including leading by example
Ensuring compliance with statutory and industry standards and practices for all electrical work
Manage the availability and maintenance of test equipment, tools and consumables required for the scope and coordinate long lead items
Manage and evaluate staff performance; establish performance requirements and regularly monitor; provide coaching for performance improvement and development
Plan, organise and manage improvement projects for electrical systems as per required
Assist Engineering Team in tendering projects
Assist the Project Manager to manage scope deviations and budget man-hours for operational and shutdown deliverables
Assist Project Manager to establish systems and processes and manage electrical testing, commissioning, and operational activities
Skills and Experience
Posses an A grade WA Electrical License, WAH / EWP / LVR / CPR / First Aid
Electrical Nominee Qualification preferred
HV Switching preferred not required
Have at least 5 Years' experience in a leadership role
Posses Control Systems knowledge especially Industrial Communications Protocols
Posses Instrumentation and Control Certification/Experience
Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems, Isolations / Lock and Tag-out
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive safety compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to pass a PEM / DAS
