About The Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a Hydrologist for Rio Tinto, working a 5:2 roster based in Perth. Expressions of interest from more experienced candidates and those seeking part-time and/or flexible work arrangements will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

⢠Conduct TUFLOW hydrology and risk assessment modelling for a Pilbara railway flood risk study

⢠Field surveys to validate survey data

Skills & Experience

⢠2-5 yearsâ experience as a hydrologist or water engineer

⢠Suitable qualifications in hydrology or civil engineering and/or relevant qualification and experience

⢠At least 12 months relevant industry experience and at least 6 months experience in creating hydrology models in TUFLOW.

⢠Experience with 1D-2D and breakline definition experience. [desirable]

⢠Experience with using and preparing LiDAR survey data for TUFLOW modelling. [desirable]

⢠Experience with linear transport assets (rail or road) with. [desirable]

⢠Skills in QGIS/GIS, Programming in Python, Matlab, C or C# [desirable]
