The Position:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Technical Advisor- Rail based within Perth for an ongoing contract. This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster and will contribute to the development and implementation of the Discipline Engineering Framework, ensuring safe, cost effective and reliable design and installations are implemented and maintained.

You will be responsible for:

• Provides technical support to Rail Maintenance, Rail Operations, Rail Engineering, and project delivery teams

• Contribute to management of engineering change impacting rail assets systems and personnel

• Application of systems engineering configuration management knowledge and skills to assist or advise personnel in the maintenance, renewals or project teams

• Collaborate with and assist project stakeholders in developing and managing railroad configuration items

• Participate in structured compliance audits against the suite of rail engineering standards

• Participate in structured compliance audits against the rail configuration baseline

• Support the Senior Advisor STA to define and manage the rail engineering standards and specifications

• Coach discipline engineers in the principles of configuration management

• Ensure the Railways configuration baselines are correctly updated and maintained in accordance with the Configuration Management plans / processes

• Subject Matter Expert for the rail engineering configuration management process

• System data administrator and subject matter expert of the rail instance of the Asset Information Management System

• Provide Configuration Management basic training to the rail engineering, maintenance and the capital acquisition teams

• Provide assurance support for rail engineering processes

• Support the implementation and sustainment of the management of change process
