About the Role

WorkPac, an Australian owned and operated recruitment solutions provider has a long term contract with South 32s Groote Eylandt Mining Company. Groote Eylandt is Australias largest Manganese mining operation, and? under the arrangement WorkPac will provide Industrial and Professional employees to help drive productivity and growth across all facets of the operation. We are currently looking for Exploration Field Assistants. Duties will include:

- Ensure field activities are executed in line with the project work design, to ensure all field task risks are controlled and delivered with zero harm.

- Liaise, record and upload data into the Exploration data base.

- Communication of technical information, environmental changes and operational obstacles are reported to the Supervisor.

- Review map changes and ensuring mapping accuracy on clearing permits including Trimble / GPS / iPad and paper versions are current.

Requirements

• Must have open class manual drivers licence

• Have experience working on a mine site - (desirable)

• Previous experience in a similar role - (desirable)

• Safety focused and possess the ability to identify hazards

• Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously

• Upload data, check emails, record daily activities

• Good communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Positive attitude to working outdoors
