Field Services Diesel Mechanic

Hourly rate + OT + annual bonus + relocation inter-state
Work in a close-team environment
Based from our Alice Springs branch covering the wider NT area.

About the Position:

We are seeking a Field Services Diesel Mechanic to service our customers in Northern Territory. Reporting to the Field Services Supervisor, you'll be part of our high performing, automotive focused operation. You will service our customers, mainly across automotive, on-highway (medium and heavy duty) and power generation product applications, with some mining. You will perform predominantly breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring our customers are back up and running safely and efficiently.

As you will be working in remote locations, you must be able to work autonomously and have a strong understanding of Cummins products. Due to the geographical area that is covered in this role, you must be prepared to travel throughout the region.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Heavy Diesel trade qualification

  • Previous field services experience, ideally with power generation exposure.

  • Experience as a Field Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications, including engine overhauls and major repairs

  • Knowledge and experience of working on Cummins products

  • Comfortable in working remotely, travelling long hours and responding to work at short notice

  • Have an engaging work approach and strong customer service focus

  • Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities

  • A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work
