Finance Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to provide administrative and functional support on-site to the Finance and Administration team to ensure performance targets are achieved for our new project in the Bowen Basin. As the successful applicant, you'll be a high achieving team-focused individual with proven experience who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline driven environment. Your exceptional administration skills together your ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders will also ensure your success in this role. In this role you will report to the Project Accountant where you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. This is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-east of Moranbah, which commenced mining operations in early 2023. Working an 5/2/4/3 roster your duties will include



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase requests in JDE as required and generate purchase orders

  • Effective processing & reconciliation of invoices for payment

  • Maintain accounts payable housekeeping including accounts payable workflow, goods received not vouchered and open orders

  • Prepare month end accruals and journals as required

  • Other general administrative duties as required

  • Communicating effectively with internal and external key personnel and stakeholders

  • Providing effective support to Finance & Administration Manager where required

Skills and Experience

  • High level of organisational skills, excellent time management and strong attention to detail

  • JDE financial package experience would be beneficial

  • Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel

  • Strong numerical skills with a good understanding of procure to pay processes

  • Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task as required

  • Experience within the mining or construction industry would be highly regarded

  • Drive safety, culture and productivity in a team environment
