About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Administrator to provide administrative and functional support on-site to the Finance and Administration team to ensure performance targets are achieved for our new project in the Bowen Basin. As the successful applicant, you'll be a high achieving team-focused individual with proven experience who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline driven environment. Your exceptional administration skills together your ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders will also ensure your success in this role. In this role you will report to the Project Accountant where you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. This is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-east of Moranbah, which commenced mining operations in early 2023. Working an 5/2/4/3 roster your duties will include
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare purchase requests in JDE as required and generate purchase orders
Effective processing & reconciliation of invoices for payment
Maintain accounts payable housekeeping including accounts payable workflow, goods received not vouchered and open orders
Prepare month end accruals and journals as required
Other general administrative duties as required
Communicating effectively with internal and external key personnel and stakeholders
Providing effective support to Finance & Administration Manager where required
Skills and Experience
High level of organisational skills, excellent time management and strong attention to detail
JDE financial package experience would be beneficial
Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
Strong numerical skills with a good understanding of procure to pay processes
Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task as required
Experience within the mining or construction industry would be highly regarded
Drive safety, culture and productivity in a team environment
