About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Fire/Consequence Modelling Engineer for a permanent position based in Fremantle, this role has flexible working arrangements on offer for the right candidate.

What you will be doing:

Conversant with fire engineering and suppression design and compliance to both NFPA and NCC

• Understanding of the applicable regulations, Australian standards and codes of practice related to Fire, fire detection and protection

• Undertake fire impact analysis and consequence modelling for range of combustible materials and Dangerous goods

• Undertake gas modelling (leaks) for various types of gases

• Training and mentoring to the project team and ability to communicate with client and propose solutions

What you will be need:

Experience in undertaking CFD fire modelling

• Experience in using fire/consequence modelling software and ability to develop specific Excel spreadsheet to suit the customer needs

• Experience in identify and proposing the fire/gas detection and protection technologies based on the consequence modelling

• Experience in proposing building materials that can withstand any fire impact to people and property

• Advantage to have an understanding of detection and suppression products/options and the hands on and the auditing

• Experience in Mining, Oil and Gas and Energy sectors would be desirable
