About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Marine Planner to join the team at Rio Tinto based in Dampier. The successful candidate will work on a 5 days on, 2 off, 4 days on, 3 off roster reporting to the Senior Port & Coastal Engineer.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Prioritising and developing work scopes with Supervisors and Superintendents while ensuring safety needs are given top priority in work planning
Delivering work plans that enable work to be executed safely and in the most efficient manner
Maintaining jobs in SAP, capturing improvement changes, developing estimations of resource requirements
Ensuring conformance with the Rio Tinto work management obligations
Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement which will improve maintenance efficiency, safety, reduce costs and increase reliability
Providing contractor management support during the project handover process and on-going monitoring of maintenance work
Skills & Experience Required:
Manual C Class Driver's Licence
A MSIC card or eligibility to obtain one
Previous planning experience in a marine environment or similar
Have a thorough working knowledge of the Work Management Process
Experience utilising SAP
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
It will also be beneficial if you have:
A relevant trade background such as electrical, boilermaker or mechanical
Previous experience in a maintenance role within a marine environment
