About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Mine Geologist for a 8:6 Roster, FIFO from Perth, based within the Pilbara.

Duties:

- Provide accurate and timely grade estimations and predictive metallurgical characteristics to customers.

- Monitor reconciliations between predicted, plant and model grade estimations.

- Provide geological input into material attribute characteristics and improvements.

- Support non-operation based project geology work to agreed level of involvement.

- Set and comply with QA/QC standards for geological data collection, integrity and interpretation.

- Supervision of technical assistant /samplers.

- Provide geological input into environmental issues.

- Uphold departmental SWPs / procedures to the highest level.

Skills and Experience

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification

- 1-2 years experience as a mine geologist

- Strong team player

- Iron Ore experience and knowledgeable in Pilbara Geology is preferred but not compulsory

- Manual C Class Australian Licence (minimum)
