About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Client Rio Tinto, based in Perth. The purpose of the role is to provide biological data (GIS) support to Rio Tintoâs Pilbara Environmental & Cultural Knowledge (PECK) team for environmental approval & compliance requirements of RTIOâs Expansion Projects and Operational Sites. The successful candidate will work a Monday â Friday roster for an initial 12 month duration, potential to extend.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process biological data submitted to Rio Tinto from both pre and post approval projects.

• Reviewing the data structure and content against Rio Tinto data standards and associated report

• Liaising with the data supplier (both internal and external) regarding any data issues

• Uploading of biological data into Rio Tintoâs master tables once it complies with the data standards and report content,

• Liaising with Rio Tinto project managers regarding the dataâs environmental protection requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

• Tertiary qualification or high level of experience in GIS (ArcGIS)

• Environmental/biological data knowledge

• C Class Drivers Licence
