They are now looking for a Qualified Handyperson to join our Engineering team. This role will contribute to the maintenance of the building, plant, equipment, fixtures, and fittings around the Resort.

What you will be doing
As the Resorts Handyperson it will be your responsibility to assist the Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer with general hotel and building minor maintenance and ensure that work is completed to a high standard within your established trade which meets the needs and expectations of our customers and other Departments. With naturally high standards to support our own, youll approach every task with devotion and pride. Common day to day duties that will be completed are below
Repair and maintain all carpentry related services in the resort, including laundry section, kitchens, resort and village rooms, food and beverage outlets, public areas, industrial, and plant rooms.
Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements, is vacuumed and surrounding area maintained to standards established
Complete work orders as requested by the Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer in relation to your trade and other directives to meet customer requirements
Coordinate with the Management and ensure sufficient tools, spare parts and consumables are always readily available, to carry out the required repair task.
Adhere to the Engineering Departments preventative maintenance strategy by performing all required works at the specified intervals.
Assist in any after-hours emergencies that may arise when required.
What you will need
Safety Induction White Card
You will be familiar with Microsoft Office, Email, and any other reporting tools like ESCAP
Comply with Resort Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
Fitness you will be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
Compliance as well as meeting any local laws to drive around the resort you will need a NSW drivers licence
Great communication skills, you will be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
You must meet the legal right to work in Australia
