About the role

Our Client is seeking a Diesel or Mechanical Fitter who will be based at Cape Lambert. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the Vessels and other company, or client assets as required

What you will be doing:

Developing interpersonal and communication skills.

Communicate and gain support for the implementation of maintenance strategies and plans targeted at maintaining and improving safety and operational performance of vessels.

Develop organisational and administrative skills, including attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and control own workload.

Maintain positive and effective relationships on-board and with vessel owners, clients and other members of management.

Commitment to continuous improvement.

Demonstrate understanding of marine safety legislation as well as environmental requirements.

Qualifications

Trade Certified as a Mechanical or Diesel Fitter

High Risk Work Licence- Intermediate Rigger

High Risk Licence Forklift

Required Experience:

Experience in the Marine Industry and understanding of vessel operations

Propulsion system repair and maintenance

Ancillary equipment repair and maintenance

Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulics system
