About the Role
An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Field Service Technician (HD Fitter/Mechanic) to join our large mining client in a permanent role. Reporting to the Branch Service Manager (or Branch Manager), you would be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on mobile plant equipment and ensuring excellent customer service is provided.
The role is responsible for machine diagnostics as well as the testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems. Additionally, you would be coordinating site based equipment maintenance projects, in particular, coordinating job requirements, following work scope and critical path. The role also involves generating technical reports such as service reports, TSI & warranty claim processes. Candidates will not have any set roster which means there is the attraction of making good money due to overtime paid (can be over $170 000 + superannuation)
Duties and Responsibilities
Skilful and effective machine diagnostics and repairs in the Workshop and Pilbara region
Demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design and function of current equipment systems and processes
Ability to assist with coordination of major site based equipment maintenance projects
Good time keeper and self-starter
Skills and Experience
Current MR classification driving licence (minimum requirements)
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the design & function of Komatsu mining equipment
Extensive experience with Komatsu equipment; such as WA900-1200 loaders & 730E-930E trucks
Field service / Mine site breakdown/diagnostics experience is essential
A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised and in remote areas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems
Air-con and Auto Electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded
