Heavy Diesel Mechanic

About Our Client
Our client is a global trader involved primarily in the after-market support of equipment, systems and turnkey facilities used to process and move natural gas from the wellhead to the pipeline. They've had a recent increase in demands from their top tier clients and as a result have multiple opportunities for Mechanical Tradespeople to join their team.
What You Will Be Doing
As a respected member of the mechanical crew, you will be based out of the Brisbane workshop and work on a Monday - Friday roster (38 hours/week with overtime available). You will be involved in the maintenance and rebuild of large diesel engines, responsible for the below duties;
Provide leadership and day to day execution of the repair, overhaul and condition monitoring services on client equipment within required time frame, to a high quality standard
Perform preventative maintenance, repair work, troubleshooting and tune up on various models of Waukesha, Caterpillar, White Superior and other Gas Engines and Ariel, IR, Gemini, Nuovo Pignone and other Gas compressors at the Customer's plant, in the field or in our workshops, in line with manufacture standards
Perform quality major overhauls of various models of Waukesha, Caterpillar and White Superior and other Gas Engines and Ariel, IR, Gemini, Nuovo Pignone and other Gas Compressors at the Customer's plant or in the field, in line with manufacture standards
Create a report upon completed maintenance work for all Customer's equipment and within set timeframes;
Commission new gas compression packages and/or equipment
What You Will Need
Previous experience working on the maintenance and rebuild of large diesel engines
Previous experience on large engines and large compression equipment
Previous experience working hands-on with Waukesha or Caterpillar gas-fuelled engines
Previous experience on Power Generation equipment
OEM Gas Engine and Compressor training
Hold a current Australian driver's license
Availability for an immediate start
Reliable and strong work ethics
