About the Role

WorkPac has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Duty Fitter at Rio Tinto's Dampier Salt mine site.

Reporting to Rio Tinto's Dampier Maintenance Workshop Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service.

Some of the fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are;

• CAT 789, 793 Dump Trucks

• Terex MT4400 Dump Trucks

• Komatsu 830E, 930E Dump Trucks

• CAT 994 Loaders

• Komatsu WA1200 Loaders

• CAT D10, D11 Dozers

• CAT 16, 24 series Graders

• Hitachi 3600, 5500, 5600 Diggers

• Komatsu PC4000, PC5500 Diggers

Skills & Experience

• Relevant Australian recognised heavy diesel trade certification

• Demonstrated experience in a similar position

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

• Experience driving around open pits

• Experience working on autonomous haulage sites (advantageous)
