About the Role

WorkPac is currently seeking experienced diesel fitters for a position available at Rio Tinto site Western Turner.

Reporting to the site's Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service. Some of the fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience include:

• CAT 789 Dump Trucks

• Komatsu 730E, 830E, 930E Dump Trucks

• CAT 992, 994 Loaders

• Komatsu WA900, WA1200 Loaders

• CAT D10, D11 Dozers

• CAT 16, 24 series Graders

• Hitachi 3600, 5500, 5600 Diggers

• Komatsu PC4000, PC5500 Diggers

Skills & Experience

• Relevant Australian recognised trade certification

• 2 + years post trade experience in a similar role

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

• Experience driving around open pits

• Experience working on autonomous haulage sites (advantageous)
