About the Role

WorkPac has employment opportunities across various Rio Tinto Iron Ore sites located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the site's Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service. The fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are:

• Dump Truck - Electric Drive 730 E / 830E electric trucks

• Dump Truck Cat 793 and Komatsu 785, 789 (mechanical drives) will be considered

• Loader ??? Komatsu WA1200

• Grader ??? 16H, 24H

• Dozer ??? D10, D11

• Excavator ??? Hitachi EX3600

• Drills- Atlas Copco D65

Skills & Experience

• Relevant Australian recognised trade certification

• 2 + years post trade experience in a similar role

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

• Experience driving around open pits

• Experience working on autonomous haulage sites (advantageous)
