About our Client

About the Role

WorkPac has positions available for experienced heavy diesel fitters at Rio Tinto's Hope Downs 1 mine site.

Reporting to the site's Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor as part of the tracks team, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service.

Some of the fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are:

  • Diggers

  • Drills

  • Dozers

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Australian recognised heavy diesel trade certification

  • 2 + years post trade experience in a similar role

  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

  • Experience driving around open pits

  • Experience working on autonomous haulage sites (advantageous)
