About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an HSEQ Officer to join our clients civil project based in Cairns. The successful candidate is responsible for understanding the clients Integrated Management System (IMS) strategy and putting into place the required practices to effectively support the project team in the provision of management of the Integrated Management System.

Duties include:

• Assist the HSEQ Systems Manager and Operation Manager in the development and implementation of policies and programs

• Assist with training employees in workplace health & safety, quality, and procedures

• Monitor and inspect the workplace

• Record and investigate incidents to ensure safe and health working conditions

Skills and Experience

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety

• Emergency response training including First Aid and Fire Extinguisher

• Previous experience working as an HSE Officer highly regarded

• Trades background (preferred)

• Proficient in MS Office

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

• QLD Drivers Licence
