About the Client

A leader in the industrial hydraulics industry, our client is a leading supplier of rock Excavation equipment for more than 140 years and have gained considerable experience and knowledge of mining techniques that are practiced across the Globe. They are currently seeking a Hydraulic Fitter to join their workshop team based in Wacol on a permanent full-time basis.

What you will be doing

You will be required to work Monday - Friday with a rotation of starting times starting at 6am, 7am, 8am and half day off every second Friday, with the occasional Saturday. This position Hydraulic Fitter is responsible for all areas relating to overhauling of surface and underground hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, final drives, rotary heads and accumulators. This is a technical role involving precision work, an eye for detail, mechanical aptitude and care and diligence. This position will require safe and responsible performance of all duties with the use of manuals, procedures and instructions. This position addresses tight deadlines and the majority of your work will be carried out at our site located in South Brisbane and we expect your role will also require you to visit customer's premises for field work on rare occasions.

To be successful in this role, you will have the below qualifications and tickets/licences:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering

• Current manual drivers' licence

• Forklift Licence

• Certificate IV Fluid Power (desirable)
