Our client is a Qld Government Organisation and are seeking an Experienced Kitchen Hand to work in Townsville. Partnered with WorkPac to recruit for an Experienced Kitchen Hand to join their team on a Casual Basis.

About the Role

WorkPac are seeking an Experienced Kitchen Hand on a casual 7-day rostered basis starting as early as 6am and latest finish is 4pm. The role of the Kitchenhand is to assist the Chief Cook and Cook in providing a nutritious, varied and quality food service.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and provision of nutritious and varied meals to young persons and staff.

Adherence to the security and safety by observance of operational procedures and standards as they impact on kitchen processes and procedure.

Maintain a hygienic, safe and secure working environment, including cleanliness of work areas and kitchen equipment.

Assist in the control of stores and provisions.

Contribute to an effective system of stock control, eg recording and stocktakes.

Undertake administrative procedures in the food services area, including procedures for ordering, storing and distributing stores.

Skills & Experience

Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport

Current resume with 2x work related referees.

Available to commence immediately.

A strong work ethic

Ability to meet deadlines.
