About our Client

About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced mine site laboratory operator at Rio Tintoâs West Angelas mine. This is for a 6 month contract which could be extended subject to performance.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be physically testing (crushing, grinding, weighing, sieving) iron ore / base metals, conducting manual preparation using rotary sample dividers and other associated duties within a laboratory environment.

Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Laboratory Operator in a mining environment

• Software systems knowledge such as Starlims, SAP, FDMS, TIKS, SuperQ and ChemAlert

• Technical and analytical experience in flux fusion, Leco TGA, XRF, robotic sampling with Herzog equipment,

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
