Our client is a Qld Government Organisation and are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Officer to work in Townsville. Partnered with WorkPac to recruit for an Experienced Maintenance Officer to join their team on a Casual Basis.

About the Role

WorkPac are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Officer on a casual basis working rostered shifts Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6am and latest finish is 4pm. The role of the Maintenance Officer is to maintain the grounds, gardens, infrastructure, and equipment of the youth detention centre.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain centre grounds and/or assets including reporting, auditing, identifying current and future needs, maintaining systems, and developing and managing projects.

• Provide basic repairs and handyman activities in and around the buildings and grounds, including the repair and maintenance of small machinery.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and productive working environment.

• Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.

Skills & Experience

• Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport

• Current resume with 2x work related referees.

• Available to commence immediately.

• A strong work ethic

• Ability to meet deadlines.
