Maintenance Supervisor
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Gosnells metro quarry operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of daily planned maintenance and breakdown works on the Gosnells 1.3mt/year fixed crushing & screening plant. A key focus of the role is to implement the maintenance plan to the agreed standards in order to maximise equipment availability, reliability, productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
About the Role:
3-6 month temporary role with opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate
Monday to Friday (with flexibility of working weekends, as required)
Rotating 3 week swings between dayshift and nightshift.
13.5% Superannuation
Tool of Trade Vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the execution of all aspects of fixed, mobile & electrical plant maintenance in accordance with asset management guidelines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Drive a Safety first work culture that ensures an incident and injury free work environment.
Ensuring daily KPI targets are met.
Maintain accurate and consistent maintenance records for all plant and equipment, utilising the SAP resource planning system.
Prepare and conduct pre-start meetings to communicate all safety messages and work plan to the work crews in a clear and effective manner.
Coordinate and lead a team of Contractor Mechanical fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians and Trade Assistants.
Coordinate a dual workshop arrangement including ordering and maintaining materials and critical spare parts.
Ability to identify and plan preventative maintenance works on a variety of plant and equipment through regular workplace inspections.
Ability to identify and implement safety improvements on a variety of plant and equipment, including acting on, rectifying and closing out documented hazards in a timely manner.
Coordinate and manage external specialised contractors to site.
Required Qualifications:
Trade qualified
Previous Supervisory experience in a similar environment
Total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm
Experience using SAP or similar
Experience in preventative maintenance
Experience in running and coordinating maintenance workshops
Must be prepared to work overtime/weekends as required
