About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client for an ongoing basis located in Gudai Darri. This role will be working a FIFO 5:2 4:3 day shift roster.
Duties and Responsibilities
Liaise with stakeholders on daily basis for their inputs, review and approval during design and construction phase of the project.
Manage contractors at site during execution works, ensuring the safe delivery of projects.
Liaise with shut planning teams for planning shut works on the project.
Review and approve Project documents
Verification of site works as per schedule.
Provide field leadership and review and verify controls in place for all hazards.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience working in iron ore process plant is essential.
Previous experience in SAP
Must have worked in shutdown planning and execution works at Rio sites.
Tertiary qualified in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
Strong decision-making capability along with ability to work autonomously.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to lead, influence and motivate.
Current WA C Class Driver's license minimum.
Previous experience or exposure to Contractor Management & Capital Expenditure Authorization (CEA) would be advantageous
