About the Role

WorkPac is seeking Mechanical Fitter to fill a temporary role at the Paraburdoo power station. As a Mechanical Maintainer/Operator, you will be required to maintain and operate the GE LM6000 gas turbine generators and their balance of plant in a safe and efficient manner enabling the Utilities Paraburdoo Power Station to meet present and future operational needs. You will need to use your SAP knowledge to raise notifications and enter reliable maintenance information.

Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

  • Mechanical Trade Certification with 2+ years of work as a Mechanical technician Aero-derivative engine

  • Cert IV in Aero Skills- Mechanical with 2+ years on aircraft engines

  • Operation and maintenance of reverse osmosis water treatment plants

  • Previous experience in power generation essential

  • Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence

  • High Risk Licence- LF, DG, RB

  • Air Compressor Maintenance

  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic system maintenance


  • GE LM6000 gas turbine Level 1 and Level 2 Mechanical Maintenance

  • Experience with GE Jet Engines, LM2500, LM6000, LMS100 gas turbine is also preferred

  • Industrial Gas fitting, type B appliance training and experience

  • Hazardous area awareness training

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP

  • Condition monitoring techniques, i.e. Vibration monitoring and lube oil sampling

  • Apply First Aid
