About The Role

WorkPac are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join Rio Tinto Dampier Salt in Perth, supporting several key strategic projects for their gypsum mining operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Procurement, design and operational readiness for a product sampling drill rig.

• Brownfields implementation and operational readiness of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant to treat and supply process water.

• Specification, procurement and operational readiness for gypsum mining equipment.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.

• Familiar with reverse osmosis / water treatment plants or mobile mining equipment.

• Understanding of the Rio Tinto procurement process and SAP.

• Experience overseeing suppliers with design and manufacturing.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Current WA C Class Driver's license.
