About The Role

WorkPac are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join BHP Olympic Dam's Fixed Plant Reliability Team on a FIFO 5/2/4/3 roster from Adelaide or residential Roxby Downs. The role will involve coordinating and assisting in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of fixed plant reliability for the Olympic Dam Mine Operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all engineering projects comply with statutory, Australian standards and BHP safety standards.

• Monitor and control work management strategies and processes.

• Build and develop equipment maintenance strategies for equipment within operations.

• Produce operating standards, procedures and work instructions.

• Develop a maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies in 1SAP.

• Initiate and conduct root cause analysis and ???failure type?? reviews (e.g. RCA, 5 Whys, FMECA).

• Improve reliability of fixed plant assets.

• Liaise and manage contractors and consultants engaged to perform work on equipment.

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong background in fixed plant reliability and maintenance.

• Ability to influence, engage with and communicate effectively across multiple levels.

• Capable of developing credibility across multiple levels and stakeholder groups.

• Inclusive team player that is proactive, self-driven and accountable.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Confident to coach, lead and initiate change.
