About the Role

Are you an experienced, hands-on Supervisor/Leading Hand Sprinkler Fitter seeking the next step in your career?

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our client for a permanent opportunity. This is an opportunity to join a team where you will benefit from employment stability, progression opportunities as well a range of additional benefits that come with working with a market leader in the fire suppression / security field. Based in Adelaide's Western suburbs, you will be responsible for leading a team of Sprinkler Fitters and sub-contractors in the field service industry, for a variety of industrial and commercial contracts across the South Australia area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring day to day workloads are managed in accordance with work programs.

  • Identify and scope recommended repairs and quote repairs.

  • Carry out minor works on fixed fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with our clients procedures.

  • Installing/servicing wet fire protection equipment strictly in accordance with AS1851, and in accordance with our clients procedures and processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Sprinkler Fitter including at least 2 years as a supervisor or leading hand.

  • Up to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information.

  • Ideally you will have knowledge of special hazards and gaseous suppression.

  • Current Driver's Licence

  • Ability to work in an unsupervised environment.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, plan and prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.

  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
