Our Client is currently looking for a mechanical fitter to work on an afternoon shift within their yard.

To undertake repairs to fixed and mobile plant (planned & breakdown). Respond to plant breakdowns. Complete preventative maintenance tasks as detailed by the CMMs and issued by the supervisor. Comply with Sim?s site conditions and OH requirements. Assist with the task allocations for planned shutdowns. Use and support the Permit to work system, Simsafe and MEX CMMS systems. Participate in and comply with Risk Assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake repairs to mobile plant, as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Undertake repair to fixed plant, as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Complete all paperwork required for each task. JSA, Work Order, Sims safe.
- Close out Works orders in a timely manner.
- Correctly use the store system recording parts/items taken from or returned to the store.
- Assist in the updating of asset information in MEX.

Skills/ Qualifications Reqd:
- Ability to Arc, Mig & Tig weld.
- Good knowledge of Industrial and Mobile hydraulics.
- Good knowledge of pneumatics
- Ability to work with CMMS (MEX) computer maintenance system.
- Able to read & interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Forklift License essential
- Any of the following licenses would be an advantage EWP, Gantry Crane, Confined Space, First Aid, Franna Crane, Rigger/Dogman.
