About the Client

Founded in 1964 and operating in over 31 countries, our client is a fleet management, novated leasing and rental company offering a not one size fits all approach to fleet management. They provide maintenance and repair services, relief vehicles, insurance, roadside assistance and discounted fuel contracts. They are currently seeking an Operations Assistant for Yard based and Fleet Management and Service work based in their Rocklea yard.

What you will be doing

You will be required to work Monday - Friday working from 8am - 4pm. The main purpose of the position is being responsible for ensuring all fleet vehicles are appropriately cleaned, inspected and relocated/ delivered. You will be required o detail vehicles in allocated times, carry out 10-point safety checks e.g. oil, water, lights, tyres, etc, raising any concerns regarding mechanical defects and roadworthiness with the Rental Supervisor or Branch Manager and relate vehicles between branches or customers when required. You will provide support to the rental team and phone and counter enquiries, monitor and report on services and repairs as required and maintaining the work environment to ensure it is clean and tidy at all times. The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy to be autonomous in the role, be flexible and able to adapt to change and will have good customer service and basic computer skills.

*You will be required to meet the client for a face to face interview prior to commencing. *

What you will need

  • Forklift licence

  • HR or HC Licence (preferably HC but client is willing to upskill)

  • The ability to work with minimal Supervision

  • Ability to responsibly drive all types of trucks in the fleet

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Have a basic understanding of the roadworthy requirements relevant for the state

  • A knowledge of detailing vehicles is an advantage

  • Good communication skills

  • Be able to demonstrate basic computer skills
