About the role

Our client is seeking multiple Material Sorters, the successful candidates will be based in a sorting roll with a centralised conveyor belt passing through carrying green waste.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role requires sorters to separate general waste from the green waste and place in a bin chute. This is completed by working in teams of two to separate the green waste using a bar to spread the green waste and locate any general waste.

Skills/Experience

• Physically fit

• Reliable

• Able to withstand the smell - as this is active green waste, it produces a very strong stench which workers cannot escape from.

• Work hours are between 4-6 hours during the week and 6 hours on the weekend.

• Workers are required to work 6 days a week across the 7 days pending rosters. There are two rosters morning and afternoon so it is flexible to suit the candidate.

The work is ongoing for the right candidate.

Candidates are required to complete a site interview and a short 15 minute test in the sorting room prior to being successful in the role.
