About the Role
We are seeking suitably experienced Underground Operators to join our team. You will be an integral crew member with strong leader skills who can drive performance through production processes and instil a safety-oriented culture.
Rosters worked are weekday (Day, Afternoon and Night Shift) and weekend (Day and Night Shift), preferences will be considered however not guaranteed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Safely and effectively operate and/or maintain machinery to a standard and quality required to meet target outputs.
Comply with the requirements of the Site Safety Management System, including completing Take 2s and Job Task Analysis as required etc.
Present for shift fit for work in accordance with the site Drug and Alcohol Policy
Maintain required qualifications and/or skills as identified by the Deputy or as per the Training Needs Analysis, ensuring all qualifications are kept up to date.
Comply with the Mine Operating System within your area of responsibility.
Work with the maintenance and mining personnel including the Deputy and Undermanager, to actively participate in tasks to ensure that production and other targets are achieved during the shift
Uphold and implement high level of housekeeping
Record all necessary information such as malfunction breakdown, incidents, inspections etc. in the appropriate location.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required.
Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operations standards and operating procedures.

Skills, experience, and qualifications
Current Order43 medical or willingness to obtain
Current CABA and NSW Mines rescue Generic Induction certification or willingness to obtain
Must be willing to undergo and pass a drug and alcohol test and functionality assessment
Minimum 1 year experience working underground as an Operator
Ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels of the business
First Aid Certificate
An extensive understanding of the work practices in the Underground Coal Mining Industry
Documented Underground Coal Mining competencies / appointments from previous mines
Valid Drivers Licence
Ability to work with other team members
