About the Role

WorkPac are seeking machine operators for a steel processing plant base in Pinkenba. This is an ongoing role working Monday - Friday. This role will include conducting prestart checks, and the loading and unloading of machines using an Overhead Gantry Crane. You will ideally have a background with Overhead Gantry Crane operations or be ticketed to operate.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct prestart checks on all plant and equipment.

• Apply quality control inspections prior to and during machine operation using tools & equipment.

• Loading machines with raw materials (coils/bar) using an overhead crane

• Unloading machines with finished product using overhead crane to designated storage areas/vehicles.

• Safe operation of automatic high-speed machines such as off coil machines, automatic shearlines and various bending machines

• Use RF Scanners

Skills & Experience

• Machine Operation experience is essential however people with minimal experience are welcome to apply.

• Warehousing background is ideal.

• Current resume with 2x work related referees.

• Available to commence immediately.

• A strong work ethic

• Follows company policies and procedures.

• Complies, understands and follows WH&S obligations in the workplace.

• High level of self-motivation & ownership
