About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking Pit Controllers to join the Rio team for an initial 6-month contract based at the Operations Centre, Perth Domestic Airport. Working roster; 3 days, 3 nights, 6 off, 12.5-hour shifts. You will remotely support on-site mining operations by using fleet management software to coordinate the dispatch of mining equipment.

Duties include:

• Real time dispatching of mining equipment and personnel to ensure efficient use of resources

• Ensuring the Fleet Management System is used to its full capacity

• Prioritising between conflicting demands

• Meeting and exceeding production and delivery targets

• Liaising with mine schedulers, maintenance personnel and other stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

• WA C Class Manual Drivers Licence- Minimum

• Unlimited Rights to work in Australia

• Experience with Fleet Management Systems

• Experience controlling large fleets in a mine/dispatch control role

• Previous RTIO experience an advantage

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Able to follow procedures and protocols whilst seeking improvement opportunities

• Excellent communication and computer skills
